Frequently asked questions

How do I find the timetable for my bus?

Search the route number in the box above, or open your town from the list below and pick the route. Every route page shows the full timetable for each direction, separately for Monday–Friday, Saturday and Sunday, plus a live map of where the buses are right now.

Are these the official timetables?

Yes. They come from the timetables each operator publishes to the Department for Transport’s Bus Open Data Service, which operators of local bus services in England are legally required to keep up to date. We show the date the operator last updated its data on every route page, so you can see how fresh it is.

Why does my route show different times to the printed timetable?

Operators sometimes update their published data later than the paper timetable at the stop. Where an operator has not updated its dataset in over a year we show a warning on the route page. For the next few departures, the live times on a stop page are more reliable than any timetable.

Timetable data from operators via the DfT Bus Open Data Service, plus Translink (Northern Ireland) and the National Transport Authority (Ireland). See all data sources and how up to date each operator keeps its timetables.
