About Live Bus Times

Live Bus Times is an independent site that makes official bus open data actually pleasant to use: live times, full timetables, route maps, fares and punctuality — for every stop in the UK and Ireland, with no app download and no account.

Data sources

• Timetables & routes — DfT Bus Open Data Service (BODS) for England, Scotland and Wales; Translink via OpenDataNI for Northern Ireland; Transport for Ireland for the Republic. Refreshed every week.
• Bus stops & stations — NaPTAN, plus stop facilities surveyed by OpenStreetMap contributors.
• Live times — BODS SIRI-VM vehicle positions nationally, TfL's own API in London, and Ember's GTFS-Realtime feed.
• Punctuality — our own continuous measurements comparing live GPS positions against timetables.
• Fares, statistics & more — GOV.UK fare-cap guidance, DfT bus statistics, Traffic Commissioner registrations, OS Code-Point Open postcodes.

This site is not affiliated with the Department for Transport or any bus operator. Timetables can change at short notice — always check with your operator before travelling.
