Frequently asked questions
What is park and ride?
A car park on the edge of a town with buses into the centre, so you can leave the car and skip city-centre traffic and parking. Most sites charge either per car (bus included) or per person for the bus. Our guide explains how it works.
How do I find the times for a park and ride bus?
Open your town or site above. Each site page shows the buses that leave it, the first and last bus on weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays, how often they run, and live departures at the stops in the car park.
A site here is a group of stops NaPTAN names as park and ride. Timetables from the operators via the DfT Bus Open Data Service. We don't hold parking prices or opening hours — check the council or operator.
