On weekdays the first PR2 leaves Howlands Park and Ride at 07:07 and the last at 18:37. On Saturdays, 07:07 to 18:37. It does not run on Sundays. Times are departures from the site; the last bus back is below.

The last PR2 back to Howlands Park and Ride leaves Leazes Rd - Underpass Stand A (E-bound) at 18:51 on weekdays & 18:51 on Saturdays. It does not run back on Sundays. That is the last departure from town heading for the car park, from the operators' timetables — bank holidays can differ.

The PR2 runs about every 15 minutes during the day on weekdays, and 1 other route calls here too — 47 bus departures from the site on a normal weekday.

Not from the timetables we hold: no buses leave Howlands Park and Ride on a Sunday. Check the route page or the operator before you travel.

Parking charges and park and ride tickets are set locally, by the council and the bus operator (Go North East, Gateshead Central Buses), and they change — check with them before you travel. We don't hold parking prices. Ordinary single bus fares in England are capped at £3 until 31 December 2026; some park and ride tickets are sold outside the cap.
